FAQs
-
Our Clinical Sleep Physiologist will arrive at your home and complete the full set-up in about 20–30 minutes. This includes explaining the equipment, applying the sensors, and making sure you feel comfortable before they leave.
-
Yes. The equipment is lightweight and portable, so you can walk around your home, relax on the couch, and get ready for bed as usual. We just ask that you avoid vigorous activity, showering and keep the sensors in place.
-
That’s completely fine. You can still have a sleep study.
If you don’t have Medicare, the study is billed privately and we’ll let you know the cost upfront before booking so there are no surprises. -
Many tummy sleepers can still comfortably have a sleep study.
The equipment is designed to be low-profile, and our technician can adjust the sensor placement to help you sleep in your usual position. If you’re a dedicated tummy sleeper, we’ll talk you through the best way to position yourself so the sensors stay secure. -
Your study is scored by our in house Sleep Clinical Physiologits and reviewed by our Sleep & Respiratory Physician. Results are sent back to your referring doctor within 7–10 business days, often sooner. If anything urgent is identified, your doctor will be notified promptly.
Sleep disorders are often associated with other medical conditions. Have you been diagnosed with any of the following?
◇ Hypertension (high blood pressure)
◇ Cardiovascular disease, atrial fibrillation, or other cardiac arrhythmias
◇ Type 2 Diabetes
◇ Mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD
◇ ADHD/ASD
◇ COPD, chronic lung disease, or other respiratory disorders
◇ Movement disorders such as restless legs syndrome
◇ Chronic pain or neurological conditions
◇ Epilepsy
These co-morbidities can worsen when sleep disorders are left untreated, making early detection and management essential.
